UPDATE

Tuesday, November 22nd, 2011

There are several ways that you can update your pet’s contact information on National Pet Register:

Phone: Call National Pet Register on 1300 REG PET (1300 734 738) and one of our customer service operators will help update your contact information. To promptly find your record on our database, we recommend you have your pet’s microchip number on hand; however if this is not possible, our customer service operators will still be able to locate your record.

Online:
Owners of pets registered on National Pet Register can access their pet’s record online at www.petregister.com.au and follow the ‘update your details’ links.

If you have misplaced your login details, simply click on the ‘Lost Credentials’ link on the login page. An email will be sent to you containing your new login credentials.

Alternatively, you can contact our 24/7 call centre and a customer service operator will reset your details over the phone. However, please note this can only be completed by the registered pet owner.

Email:
Owners of pets registered on National Pet Register also have the option of completing the ‘Change of Personal Details’ web-form found here.

ChipChecker:
This December, you can also check-in to our ChipChecker station at any of our National Pet ID Month events.

The ChipChecker will tell you what contact details are on your pet’s microchip, what database your pet is registered to and whether your pet’s microchip is working. You can also use the ChipChecker to update your details and use the opportunity to ask National Pet Register staff any identification questions.

Don’t forget to bring along your pet’s identification or your pet, although please remember to keep all dogs on a lead and all cats in secure carriers.
